Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks U/UTP Cat. 6 2 m

The ShiverPeaks U/UTP Cat. 6 networking cable 2m provides a 2-meter connection for Ethernet networks using Category 6 performance. This U/UTP (unshielded/Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable is designed for reliable data transmission in home and office environments and comes with RJ‑45 connectors plated with gold to maintain good electrical contact and reduce corrosion. The cable's red jacket makes it easy to identify in patch panels, desks, or structured cabling runs.

Advantages

This Cat 6 cable supports higher bandwidth and improved pair separation compared with lower-category cables, helping to reduce crosstalk and maintain signal integrity over the 2 m length. The RJ‑45 connectors with gold plating provide consistent contact resistance for stable connections. The U/UTP construction delivers straightforward installation and compatibility with standard Ethernet equipment while the visible red color assists with cable management and identification.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches, routers and network devices in home or small office setups
• Patch panel and wall outlet terminations where a short fixed cable run is required
• Temporary setups for events, testing, or network troubleshooting
• Environments where color-coded cabling simplifies organization and maintenance

Key specifications

• Category: Cat. 6
• Length: 2 m
• Construction: U/UTP (unshielded overall, unshielded pairs)
• Connector: RJ‑45 plugs on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Color: red jacket

How to use

Plug each RJ‑45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices, ensuring a firm click to indicate correct seating. Use the 2 m length to create direct device-to-device links, connect a workstation to a nearby switch, or patch between a wall outlet and a network device. Avoid sharp bends near the connector strain relief and do not stretch the cable beyond its length to prevent damage to the internal pairs.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable away from strong electromagnetic interference sources (large AC transformers, high-power electrical lines) and avoid running parallel to high-voltage power cables. Inspect connectors for secure seating before use and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs show visible damage.
