Neutraal grijsfilter Freewell Mini 5 Pro ND64 — ND64-lichtreductie voor Freewell Mini 5 Pro

The Neutral density filter Freewell Mini 5 Pro ND64 reduces incoming light by 6 stops for the Freewell Mini 5 Pro camera system, enabling controlled exposure in bright outdoor conditions. It is intended for daylight shooting when slower shutter speeds or wider apertures are required to achieve motion blur, smooth video exposure, or a shallower depth of field without overexposure. The filter mounts to the Freewell Mini 5 Pro optical assembly and is designed to preserve color balance and image sharpness while reducing light intensity.

Advantages

The ND64 filter provides consistent 6-stop attenuation, allowing for predictable shutter speed or aperture adjustments during bright-light filming. Its optical design aims to minimise color cast and maintain image clarity across the frame. The construction is compact and straightforward to mount on the Freewell Mini 5 Pro, supporting quick changes in the field. By limiting exposure without altering ISO, it helps retain dynamic range and reduce highlights clipping when shooting video or stills outdoors.

Suitable for

• Daylight outdoor video recording with the Freewell Mini 5 Pro
• Cinematic motion blur and controlled shutter speeds for smooth footage
• Photography with wider apertures for shallower depth of field in bright conditions
• Timelapse sequences requiring slower exposure per frame

Key specifications

• Optical density: 6-stop light reduction (ND64)
• Compatibility: Designed for use with the Freewell Mini 5 Pro camera system
• Effect on exposure: Enables slower shutter speeds or wider apertures in bright light
• Image characteristics: Engineered to minimise color shift and maintain sharpness
• Mounting: Direct fit to the Freewell Mini 5 Pro optical assembly

How to use

Attach the ND64 filter to the lens assembly of the Freewell Mini 5 Pro according to the camera system's mounting method, ensuring it is seated securely and free of dust or fingerprints. When composing and metering, compensate for the 6-stop reduction by increasing exposure time or opening the aperture while keeping ISO at the desired level to preserve image quality. Verify autofocus and stabilization performance after mounting and make any necessary exposure adjustments when moving between lighting conditions.

Recommendations

For best results, clean the filter with a soft, lint-free cloth before mounting and store it in protective packaging when not in use. Use the ND64 when bright highlights risk clipping or when you need to achieve motion blur or shallower depth of field in daylight. If changing between indoor and outdoor environments frequently, carry multiple filters or remove the ND64 to restore normal exposure settings.
