Neutraaldichtheids- + polarisatiefilter Freewell ND4/PL voor DJI Mavic 4 Pro

The Neutral Density + Polarizer Hybrid filter Freewell ND4/PL for DJI Mavic 4 Pro combines a two-stop neutral density (ND4) filter with a circular polarizer in a single optical element. Designed specifically for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, this Freewell hybrid filter reduces incoming light by two stops while decreasing reflections and glare from non-metallic surfaces. The result is improved color saturation and contrast in aerial photos and video, more consistent skies, and the ability to use slower shutter speeds for smoother motion blur during daylight shooting.

Advantages

This hybrid ND4/PL filter integrates ND and polarizing functions in one piece of glass, eliminating the need to stack separate filters and reducing vignetting or added weight. It preserves color fidelity while cutting specular reflections from water, glass, and foliage, and enables more precise exposure control by lowering light transmission by approximately two stops. The filter is tailored for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro mounting interface and maintains aerodynamic balance and image sharpness when properly installed.

How to use

Attach the Freewell ND4/PL filter to the camera mount of the DJI Mavic 4 Pro according to the drone and filter manufacturer instructions, ensuring secure and correct alignment. Power on the aircraft and check framing and focus in the controller or companion app. Rotate the polarizer element if the filter provides adjustment to control the degree of polarization and minimize reflections; once set, lock or note the position for consistent shots. Use the ND4 effect to reduce shutter speed for smoother motion blur or to avoid overexposure in bright daylight, while monitoring histogram and exposure settings to maintain image quality.

Recommendations

For best results, use the hybrid ND4/PL during bright daylight or reflective conditions. Combine the filter with appropriate camera settings: select a shutter speed that produces natural motion blur (typically double the frame rate for video when possible), keep ISO low to minimize noise, and adjust exposure compensation as needed. Avoid excessive rotation beyond the polarizer’s useful range and inspect the filter for dust or smudges before flight. Store the filter in a protective case when not in use.
