The Nutmeg Mill Lurch TANGO black 13.5 cm is a manual spice grinder designed to grate whole nutmeg and similar hard spices directly at the table or during food preparation. Its compact 13.5 cm height and hand-operated stainless steel mechanism provide consistent, controlled grating while preserving the aroma and essential oils of freshly grated spices. The black finish and simple silhouette make it suitable for both home kitchens and professional settings where small-batch, freshly grated spice is desired.

Advantages

The stainless steel grinding mechanism ensures durable, corrosion-resistant performance and even grating without crushing the spice into dust. Manual operation gives precise portion control and immediate freshness, while the compact dimensions allow easy handling and storage. The design minimizes waste by producing uniform shavings that release aroma efficiently. The black exterior offers a neutral, easy-to-clean surface that fits varied kitchen styles.

Suitable for

• Preparing small quantities of hard spices at the table in restaurants or at home
• Adding freshly grated spice to soups, stews, and desserts
• Use in professional kitchens where precise portioning and freshness matter

Key specifications

• Height: 13.5 cm
• Operation: manual, hand-operated
• Grinding mechanism material: stainless steel
• Finish: black exterior
• Intended use: whole nutmeg and other hard spices

How to use

Hold the nutmeg mill upright and insert a whole nutmeg seed into the top opening. Turn the handle or rotate the head according to the mill’s motion until the desired amount of grated spice is released. For consistent results, apply steady, even pressure and check output frequently to avoid over-grating. After use, empty any remaining fragments and rinse the exterior with a damp cloth; follow manufacturer guidance for cleaning the grinding mechanism if removal or deeper cleaning is required.

Recommendations

Store whole nutmeg in a cool, dry place to maintain aroma prior to grating. For best flavor, grate directly over the dish shortly before serving. Do not immerse the stainless steel mechanism for prolonged periods; dry thoroughly after any cleaning to prevent moisture buildup.
