Oogkap Nikon DK-30 voor Z 50 zwart rubber

The Nikon DK-30 eyepiece cup for Z 50 is a soft rubber eyepiece shield designed to improve viewfinder comfort and reduce stray light when composing and focusing. Its black rubber construction fits the Z 50 eyepiece profile, providing a comfortable cushion for the eye and helping to block ambient light that can interfere with accurate framing and exposure assessment. The DK-30 maintains a low-profile appearance that complements the camera's design while delivering practical benefits for extended shooting sessions.

Advantages

Made from soft, durable rubber, the eyepiece cup provides comfortable contact with the face and helps prevent fatigue during extended use. By minimising the amount of stray light entering the viewfinder, it improves visibility and ensures a clearer view of the subject. The black colour integrates with the Z 50 aesthetics and the product is easy to attach and remove for cleaning or replacement.

How to use

Align the DK-30 eyepiece cup with the camera's viewfinder and press gently until it snaps or seats into place, ensuring a secure fit. To remove, pull the cup away from the viewfinder evenly to avoid twisting. Clean the rubber surface with a soft, damp cloth when necessary and allow it to dry before reattaching. Regular inspection will help maintain a good seal and prevent debris from affecting the viewfinder optics.

Recommendations

Use the eyepiece cup during extended handheld shooting or in bright environments to reduce stray light and improve viewing comfort. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use and avoid exposure to solvents or extreme heat which can degrade the rubber.
