Optische actieve kabel BlueOptics SFP-10G-AOC-50M 10GBASE-SR 50 m

Active Optical Cable BlueOptics SFP-10G-AOC-50M 10GBASE-SR 50 m is a pre-terminated fiber link designed for direct connection of SFP+ ports over short distances. The 50-meter AOC combines twin optical fibers and SFP+ connectors in a single assembly to provide low-latency, high-throughput 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity between switches, servers and storage devices in data centers and enterprise networks. The plug-and-play design removes the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifying cabling and reducing points of failure.

Advantages

The BlueOptics AOC delivers consistent 10GBASE-SR performance with lower power consumption compared with discrete transceiver-plus-cable assemblies. Its factory-terminated construction ensures stable optical alignment and reduced insertion loss, while the integrated connectors and jacketed cable improve durability and handling in rack environments. The single-unit design shortens installation time and minimizes inventory of spare parts.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your network devices until it clicks into place. Ensure devices are powered and configured for 10GBASE-SR operation and that port settings (speed, duplex, link mode) match your network requirements. No separate fiber patch cords or transceivers are required. For reliable operation, avoid tight bends in the cable and route the assembly through standard cable management paths.

Recommendations

Handle the AOC by the connector housings when plugging or unplugging, maintain a minimum bend radius as specified by the manufacturer, and keep connectors clean and dust-free to preserve signal integrity. Use compatible SFP+ ports and verify firmware or vendor compatibility if required by specific switch models.
