Optische audiokabel ShiverPeaks 69012-5.0 Toslink naar 3,5 mm, 5 m lengte

ShiverPeaks 69012-5.0 Toslink to 3.5 mm optical audio cable, 5 m length, provides a single-channel digital audio link using optical fiber. One end features a standard Toslink connector while the other uses a 3.5 mm mini-Toslink plug, allowing connection between devices with full-size optical ports and those using a compact optical jack. The cable transmits audio as light pulses to minimize electromagnetic interference and preserve digital signal integrity over its 5 meter length, making it suitable for home audio systems, AV setups and portable equipment.

Advantages

The optical construction eliminates susceptibility to electrical noise and ground loops, offering clear digital transmission without electrical contact between components. The combination of a Toslink connector and a 3.5 mm mini-Toslink plug increases compatibility across TVs, soundbars, DACs, portable players and compact audio devices. With a 5 meter length, the cable enables flexible placement of components while maintaining stable optical performance.

Suitable for

• Connecting a TV or set-top box with Toslink output to a soundbar with a 3.5 mm optical input
• Linking DACs or audio interfaces to devices with mini-Toslink jacks
• Using portable audio players or laptops with 3.5 mm optical outputs in a home AV setup
• Replacing damaged or missing optical cables in home theater systems

Key specifications

• Connector types: standard Toslink (optical) to 3.5 mm mini-Toslink (optical)
• Cable length: 5.0 metres
• Transmission medium: optical fiber for digital audio
• Outer cable diameter: approximately 2.2 mm
• Signal type: digital audio via light pulses, immune to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Ensure both source and destination devices support optical audio connections and are powered off or set to standby before connecting. Align and insert the Toslink connector into the device with the full-size optical port and insert the 3.5 mm mini-Toslink plug into the corresponding mini optical jack. Power on the devices and select the optical input or output in the device audio settings. If no sound is produced, verify the optical ports are clean and properly seated, and confirm the chosen audio format is supported by both devices.

Recommendations

Protect the optical ends from dust and mechanical stress; avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable to maintain light transmission. For best results, keep connectors clean and unobstructed and route the cable away from heavy foot traffic or pinch points.
