Optische kabel ShiverPeaks 69002-5.0 Toslink 2,2 mm, lengte 5 m

ShiverPeaks Optical Cable 69002-5.0 Toslink 2.2 mm, length 5 m is a 5-metre digital audio fiber cable equipped with Toslink connectors at both ends. The cable has a 2.2 mm outer jacket and is intended for transmitting S/PDIF-format optical audio signals between consumer audio components. Its optical transmission provides galvanic isolation and immunity to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for short to medium-length connections in home audio systems.

Advantages

The ShiverPeaks Toslink cable offers optical signal transmission that eliminates ground loops and reduces susceptibility to radio-frequency and electromagnetic interference. Its 2.2 mm jacket balances flexibility and mechanical protection for straightforward routing behind furniture or inside AV cabinets. With standard Toslink connectors on both ends, the cable is compatible with a wide range of CD players, DACs, AV receivers and soundbars that support optical S/PDIF connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting CD players, DVD/Blu-ray players or media streamers to AV receivers
• Linking external DACs to source components for digital audio transfer
• Connecting soundbars or TV optical outputs to home audio systems
• Short to medium-length optical runs where electrical isolation is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5.0 m
• Connector type: Toslink (optical) to Toslink (optical)
• Jacket diameter: 2.2 mm
• Signal format: Optical S/PDIF digital audio
• Transmission medium: Optical fiber

How to use

Insert each Toslink connector into the optical output and input ports of the source and destination devices until they seat securely. Ensure port dust covers are removed before connecting. Route the cable without sharp bends; avoid kinking the fiber and maintain gentle curves to preserve signal integrity. Once connected, select the optical input on the receiving device and configure audio output settings on the source as required.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid running the optical cable alongside high-voltage mains cables and protect connector ends from dust when not in use. Keep bend radius gentle and do not force connectors into incompatible ports. For distances longer than 5 m consider evaluating higher-grade optical cables or using a dedicated digital audio solution suitable for longer runs.
