Optische Toslink cinch koppeling ShiverPeaks OC 69115 – glasvezel/optische audio-adapter

ShiverPeaks OC 69115 is an optical Toslink (Cinch) coupling designed to join two Toslink/fiber-optic audio cables. The adapter provides a female-to-female optical connection for digital audio signal transmission without electrical interference. It is suitable for extending or repairing optical audio runs between sources and receivers such as TVs, AV receivers, CD players and soundbars, maintaining the digital integrity of the signal across the joined cable sections.

Advantages

The Toslink coupling enables a straightforward mechanical and optical join of two fiber-optic audio cables without the need for additional tools. Its passive design preserves the digital audio signal path and avoids ground loops or electrical noise because it transmits light rather than electrical signals. The compact, lightweight construction makes it unobtrusive in home theater or multimedia setups and easy to position behind equipment racks or in tight spaces.

Suitable for

• Extending an optical Toslink connection between audio source and AV receiver
• Repairing or replacing a damaged section of fiber-optic audio cable
• Connecting TVs, soundbars, CD/DVD/Blu-ray players and digital audio devices using Toslink
• Home theater and multimedia installations where electrical isolation is required

Key specifications

• Connection type: Toslink (optical fiber), female-to-female
• Signal: Digital optical audio transmission
• Compatibility: Standard Toslink optical cables and devices supporting optical audio
• Material and finish: durable plastic housing with precision optical ferrules (non-conductive)
• Form factor: compact inline coupling for unobtrusive installation

How to use

To use the ShiverPeaks OC 69115, align the square or rounded Toslink plug on each cable with the adapter opening and insert each plug firmly until it seats in the coupling. Ensure that the cable ends are clean and free of dust or debris for optimal optical transmission. Avoid bending the connected optical cables sharply near the coupling; maintain the cable's minimum bend radius to prevent signal loss. Once connected, verify audio signal and adjust cable routing as needed to minimize tension on the joints.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, keep protective caps on the Toslink connectors when not in use and inspect connector ends for contamination before joining. Use the coupling in dry indoor environments and avoid exposure to excessive heat or moisture. When extending long optical runs, test the audio path after installation to confirm signal integrity.
