Why choose it

The Talon JR brings Osprey's trail-tested fit and durability to a kids' pack. The AirScape backpanel and BioStretch harness keep the load stable and comfortable, while recycled materials and bluesign® approval mean it's a responsible choice. The wrap-around hipbelt with pockets gives young hikers easy access to snacks and small treasures without taking the pack off.

Ideal use cases

• Day hikes and family outdoor adventures
• School field trips and nature camps
• Travel as a carry-on or personal item for kids
• Everyday use for active children

Good to know

The pack is hydration-compatible with an external sleeve, so adding a reservoir is simple. Trekking poles can be stowed without removing the pack, and a blinker light attachment point adds visibility. The PFAS-free DWR treatment sheds light rain, and the recycled nylon dobby resists abrasion for seasons of use.
