Parksensor Renkforce SB-E17 — akoestisch en visueel waarschuwingssysteem voor de voor- en achterzijde

The Renkforce SB-E17 parking sensor system is designed to assist drivers when maneuvering in confined spaces by providing both acoustic and visual proximity alerts. Intended for front and rear vehicle installation, this system detects obstacles and signals distance changes to help reduce the risk of minor collisions while parking. The unit is suitable for cars and light vans and integrates sensors and a control module that communicate status to the driver through audible beeps and a visual indicator.

Advantages

The Renkforce SB-E17 offers combined acoustic and visual feedback to improve driver awareness of nearby obstacles. Its front and rear compatibility allows a comprehensive parking aid without requiring separate systems. The design emphasises straightforward installation and user operation, enabling quick fitting to common vehicle types and immediate use after mounting. The sensing functionality provides graduated alerts that change as the vehicle approaches an object, supporting controlled and precise low-speed maneuvers.

Suitable for

• Passenger cars requiring front and/or rear proximity assistance
• Light commercial vans with limited rear visibility
• Urban parking in tight spaces or multi-storey car parks
• Drivers needing additional audible and visual guidance while reversing or approaching obstacles

Key specifications

• Detection type: ultrasonic proximity sensing for obstacle detection
• Alert modes: combined acoustic (beeper) and visual indicator
• Installation positions: supports both front and rear mounting
• Operating environment: designed for automotive exterior use
• Compatibility: suitable for integration with standard 12 V vehicle electrical systems

How to use

Install the sensors in the vehicle’s front and/or rear bumper according to the mounting guidelines supplied with the system, ensuring sensors are aligned and securely fixed at recommended heights. Connect the control module to the vehicle electrical system and route the visual indicator to a visible position within the driver’s view. After powering the system, perform an initial functional check to confirm each sensor and alert output operate correctly. During parking maneuvers, monitor the visual indicator and listen for acoustic beeps that increase in frequency as the vehicle approaches an obstacle, and adjust vehicle speed accordingly.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, keep sensor surfaces clean and free of mud, ice or heavy dirt. Avoid mounting sensors near strong heat sources or devices that emit ultrasonic noise. Use the system as an aid; always check mirrors and surroundings because sensor systems may have blind spots or reduced accuracy in certain conditions such as heavy rain, snow or very narrow objects.
