Patchkabel BlueOptics 470-ABOM MPO-MPO Multimode OM4 7,5 m blauw

The BlueOptics 470-ABOM MPO-MPO Multimode OM4 Patch Cable in blue is a 7.5 metre fiber optic link designed for high-bandwidth data transmission in structured networks. The cable uses MPO multi-fiber connectors at both ends and multimode OM4 fiber to support dense, short- to medium-range links common in data centres and enterprise backbone installations. Its colour-coded jacket helps identify and manage connections within patch panels and cable trays.

Advantages

This patch cable combines MPO multi-fiber connectivity with OM4 multimode fiber to deliver consistent high-speed performance for parallel optics and aggregated links. The 7.5 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or aisle connections without excess slack. The blue jacket improves visual identification during installation and maintenance. MPO-MPO ends simplify deployment where MPO ports and trunking are used, reducing the need for multiple separate fibers and connectors.

Suitable for

• Data centre short-reach and medium-reach links
• High-density patch panels and trunking systems
• Parallel optics applications such as 40G/100G modules
• Enterprise backbone and server-rack interconnects

Key specifications

• Connector type: MPO to MPO multi-fiber connectors
• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Jacket colour: Blue for easy identification
• Application category: High-bandwidth short- to medium-range optical links

How to use

Route the cable through the designated cable management pathways and align the MPO connector keying with the port orientation before insertion. Ensure both MPO ends are clean and free of dust or debris before making connections; use a lint-free wipe or approved fiber cleaning tool if necessary. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable with appropriate ties or clips to maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fiber. Test the link after installation to verify signal integrity and correct polarity for parallel connections.

Recommendations

Store and handle the multimode OM4 MPO-MPO cable in a dust-free environment, keep connector endfaces protected with dust caps when not connected, and follow equipment vendor guidelines for MPO port alignment and polarity. For optimal performance in 40G/100G parallel optics, verify MPO pin configuration and patch panel mapping before full deployment.
