Patchkabel BlueOptics 470-ABON MPO-MPO Multimode OM4 10m blauw

The BlueOptics 470-ABON MPO-MPO Multimode OM4 10m Blue patch cable is engineered for high-speed multimode fiber connections in data centers and enterprise networks. This 10-meter cable uses OM4 graded multimode fiber to support high bandwidth and extended reach compared with lower OM standards. Both ends are fitted with MPO connectors to enable multi-fiber trunking and simplified installation in dense cabling environments. The blue outer jacket provides visual identification for easy cable management.

Advantages

This OM4 multimode patch cable delivers increased bandwidth and lower modal dispersion for reliable short- to medium-range optical links. The MPO-MPO configuration allows quick deployment of multi-fiber connections and reduces installation time when connecting cassettes, patch panels, or transceivers that accept MPO interfaces. The 10 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-panel routing while maintaining consistent signal quality.

Suitable for

• Data center uplinks and server interconnects
• High-density network cabinets and patch panels
• Multimode fiber backbone links within campus or enterprise buildings
• Interfacing MPO-enabled transceivers and modules

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Connector type: MPO to MPO (multi-fiber push-on)
• Length: 10 meters
• Jacket color: Blue
• Application: High-bandwidth multimode optical links

How to use

Ensure both MPO connectors are clean and aligned with the mating MPO adapter or cassette before insertion. Route the cable to avoid excessive bending; follow the specified minimum bend radius for multimode fiber to prevent attenuation. Insert each MPO connector into the corresponding MPO adapter or port until it clicks into place. Verify the link using appropriate optical test equipment and, if required, map fibers according to polarity and pinout conventions used in your installation.

Recommendations

Handle MPO connectors with protective caps when not in use and clean end faces with approved fiber cleaning tools. Use labeled routing and color-coded management to maintain organized multimode cabling. For reliable performance, avoid tight bends and mechanical stress along the cable path and perform loss and continuity tests after installation.
