Patchkabel Equip Cat.6 S/FTP RJ-45 0,5m oranje

The equip® Cat.6 S/FTP Patch Cord is a 0.5 m orange network cable engineered for high-speed data transfer at up to 1000 Mbit/s. It uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to ensure reliable contact and signal transmission in professional network environments.

Advantages

The Cat.6 construction offers increased bandwidth and an improved signal-to-noise margin compared with lower-category cables, enabling stable and low-error performance. S/FTP shielding minimizes crosstalk and external interference, while gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide corrosion resistance and consistent connectivity. The compact 0.5 m length is suitable for short patching runs and tidy installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, patch panels and routers within racks
• Short patching runs in server rooms and data cabinets
• Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000Base-T) connections

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 – RJ-45
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foiled pairs with overall braid)
• Data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s
• Product colour: Orange
• Weight: 0.033 kg

How to use

Plug one gold-plated RJ-45 connector into the network device (switch, router or patch panel) and the other into the corresponding port on the connected device. Ensure connectors click into place and route the cable to avoid tight bends. Use the 0.5 m length for short connections within racks or between adjacent devices.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources, avoid sharp bends and do not exceed the intended cable length for patching. Verify link speed and settings on network devices to ensure Gigabit operation.
