Patchkabel ShiverPeaks Helos Cat 8.1 10 m F/FTP Twisted Pair dubbel afgeschermd

Patch cable ShiverPeaks Helos Cat 8.1 10 m F/FTP twisted pair double shielded is a 10-metre network patch lead designed to meet Cat 8.1 performance for high-speed Ethernet and data connections. The cable uses F/FTP construction with foil shielding around each twisted pair plus an overall screen to limit crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. It is intended for short to medium runs in environments that require shielded cabling, such as data centres and server racks.

Advantages

The double-shielded F/FTP design reduces near-end crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, supporting stable transmission at high frequencies. The cable is made of full copper conductors and terminated with gold-plated connectors to ensure reliable contact and reduced signal loss. A low-smoke, halogen-free outer jacket and strain-relief boots on the plugs improve safety and mechanical durability in installed environments. The 10 m length offers flexibility for typical rack-to-rack or patch-panel connections without intermediate splices.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between racks and switches
• High-bandwidth Ethernet links and server connections
• Short to medium horizontal runs where shielded cabling is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 8.1
• Length: 10 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (foil per pair + overall shield)
• Conductor material: full copper
• Conductor size: AWG 26 (twisted pairs)
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Jacket: LSZH (low-smoke, halogen-free)
• Wiring: 1:1 per EIA/TIA 568B
• Supported link classes: suitable for 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T applications

How to use

Connect one end of the ShiverPeaks Helos Cat 8.1 patch cable to an RJ45 port on a switch, router or server and the other end to the corresponding patch panel or device port following standard network port labelling. Ensure the cable is routed without sharp bends and that strain-relief boots are seated properly to prevent connector stress. When installing in shielded environments, make sure connector shields and equipment chassis are properly grounded to maintain the shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid routing the cable alongside high-voltage power lines and keep bend radius greater than the connector boot length. Use shielded patch panels and connectors for end-to-end continuity of the shielding, and verify link performance with appropriate cable certification tools when used in critical network segments.
