Patchkabel U/FTP Cat.7 ShiverPeaks 2,0 m slank, zwart

ShiverPeaks Patch Cable U/FTP Cat.7 2.0 m slim, black is a shielded Ethernet patch cord designed for Category 7 networks. The cable uses U/FTP construction — an overall unshielded braid with individually foiled pairs — to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. With a 2.0 metre slim profile and standard RJ45 terminations, this patch cable supports high‑speed connections in constrained routing environments while maintaining the mechanical compatibility of standard network ports.

Advantages

The U/FTP Cat.7 design provides improved pair‑to‑pair shielding compared with unshielded cables, offering better noise rejection in electrically noisy environments. The slim 2.0 m form factor reduces cable bulk and eases routing in patch panels, under‑desk channels, and crowded server racks. Standard RJ45 connectors ensure compatibility with existing network equipment and quick installation without special tools.

Suitable for

• Data centres and server racks where shielding and reduced crosstalk are required
• Office LANs and open plan workspaces with dense cable runs
• Home networks and media setups where a slim cable improves cable management
• Connections between switches, patch panels, routers and wall outlets

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.7
• Construction: U/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 2.0 m
• Form factor: slim cable jacket for reduced diameter
• Connector type: RJ45 on both ends
• Colour: black
• Typical use: shielded Ethernet for high‑speed network links

How to use

Connect one RJ45 termination to your network device (switch, router, patch panel or wall socket) and the other to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched to maintain a secure link. Route the slim cable through cable trays or tie points to minimise mechanical strain and avoid sharp bends that could damage the internal conductors or shielding. For best performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with high‑power electrical lines over long distances.

Recommendations

Use this U/FTP Cat.7 slim patch cable in environments where additional shielding is beneficial, such as near power supplies, transformers or dense electronic equipment. For optimal signal integrity, keep cable runs within recommended lengths for patching and avoid excessive bending or compression of the slim jacket. Verify connector seating and test links with a network tester after installation if precise performance validation is required.
