PC-behuizing be quiet! PURE BASE 501 Airflow midi tower zwart

Pure Base 501 Airflow Black is a compact ATX case from be quiet! that combines a classic, unobtrusive exterior with internal space for high-end components. Designed for users who prefer a restrained look, the chassis supports multiple cooling options and offers modern front I/O including a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type‑C port and two Type‑A ports.

Advantages

The case emphasizes airflow and component compatibility while maintaining a simple appearance. It is compatible with up to a 360mm front radiator and up to 240mm on top, supports rotatable PCIe slots for vertical GPU mounting, and includes optimized Pure Wings 3 140mm PWM fans for high airflow with reduced turbulence. Cable routing options are integrated to simplify cable management in the compact interior.

Key specifications

• Form factor: Compact ATX case
• Included fans: Pure Wings 3 140mm PWM (airflow-optimized blades)
• Front cooling support: Up to 360mm radiator or triple fans
• Top cooling support: Up to 240mm radiator or two fans
• GPU orientation: PCIe slots rotatable 90° for vertical installation
• Front I/O: 1 × USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type‑C, 2 × USB Type‑A

How to use

Install motherboard and power supply following standard ATX case procedures, then mount storage and cooling components in the designated bays. For improved airflow, fit the included Pure Wings 3 140mm PWM fan(s) and consider installing up to three front fans or a 360mm radiator; top mounts support up to two fans or a 240mm radiator. To mount a GPU vertically, rotate the PCIe slot assembly 90° and use a compatible riser cable with anti‑sag support.

Recommendations

For best cooling performance in demanding configurations, use the Pure Wings 3 140mm PWM fans supplied or other high‑airflow fans, plan radiators placement (front for larger radiators), and use the optional be quiet! riser cable when installing a GPU vertically to prevent sag and ensure stable support.
