PC-behuizing Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL Light Tempered Glass Tower zwart

The Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL Light Tempered Glass Tower in black is a full-size tower PC case engineered for high airflow, extensive storage and flexible cooling layouts. The case ships with three pre-installed 140 mm Dynamic X2 GP-14 fans and supports large motherboards up to E-ATX and SSI-EEB. Its dual-layout design lets you switch between a high-density Storage Layout and an Open Layout for custom water cooling, while a tempered glass side panel provides a clear view of internal components.

Advantages

Removable nylon front filter integrated into a hinged mesh bezel improves airflow and simplifies access to front fan mounts. The case offers exceptional storage expandability with optional accessories to reach up to 18 HDDs and 5 SSDs, and includes Multibrackets to convert unused fan positions into HDD, SSD or pump mounts. Cooling flexibility includes support for radiators up to 480/420 mm (front and top) and 280/240 mm (base). Front I/O includes a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port for fast data transfer and charging, while the ultra-slim Nexus+ 2 fan hub supports multiple PWM and 3-pin fans for simplified fan control. Tool-less top panels and a detachable PSU cable shield make maintenance and cable management easier.

Suitable for

• High-performance gaming PCs with large GPUs and multi-fan cooling
• Custom water-cooling loops with large radiators and reservoirs
• Workstations requiring many internal storage drives
• Enthusiast builds needing easy cable management and modular layouts

How to use

Install the motherboard and power supply following standard ATX tower procedures, route cables using integrated guides and Velcro straps, and attach storage devices either to the stock mounting points or convert fan positions using the included Multibrackets. For high-flow configurations, remove the detachable nylon front filter from the hinged mesh panel to access front fan mounts. If building a custom water loop, convert to Open Layout by removing the top panel to facilitate routing and installation of large radiators and reservoirs.

Recommendations

For optimal airflow and temperature control, keep the front mesh unobstructed and use the included Dynamic X2 GP-14 fans together with the Nexus+ 2 fan hub to manage fan speeds. When populating multiple drives, follow the Storage Layout guides and secure heavy HDDs in converted fan positions or dedicated brackets to maintain airflow and stability.
