Philips 77OLED770 OLED Smart Ambilight TV

The Philips 77OLED770 stands apart from typical large-screen TVs by pairing a 77-inch OLED panel with three-sided Ambilight, turning every movie night into an immersive wall of colour that extends beyond the bezel. Unlike conventional edge-lit LCDs, each pixel here is self-emissive, delivering true blacks, infinite contrast, and a cinematic depth that makes HDR content feel remarkably lifelike. With Titan OS at its core, this model focuses on speed and simplicity, giving you instant access to all major streaming services without the clutter of heavier smart platforms.

Highlights

• 77-inch 4K Ultra HD OLED display (3840 x 2160) with 16:9 aspect ratio and Dolby Vision, HDR10+ Adaptive, and HLG support
• Three-sided Ambilight for immersive ambient lighting that reacts to on-screen content
• Titan OS smart platform with built-in apps for Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, and HBO
• 20 W RMS 2.0 speaker system with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Dolby Digital decoding
• Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.2, and Ethernet LAN for flexible connectivity
• 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, and digital tuners for DVB-C/S/S2/T/T2
• Game Mode, Filmmaker Mode, and 1000-page Teletext for versatile use

In daily use

Set up is straightforward: attach the two metal legs, plug in your sources, and let Titan OS guide you through a quick configuration. The remote is uncluttered, with dedicated buttons for popular streaming apps. Picture quality out of the box is excellent, and the Filmmaker Mode preserves the director's intent by disabling motion smoothing and other processing. For gamers, the low input lag and Game Mode ensure responsive play, while the 120 Hz panel (if supported) reduces motion blur in fast scenes. The Ambilight can be set to follow video, audio, or a fixed colour, and it genuinely enhances perceived contrast in dark rooms.
