Philips Hue White and colour ambience Centris 4-spots plafondlamp

The Philips Hue Centris 4-spot ceiling light in black combines a fixed central ceiling lamp with four adjustable spotlights in a single smart lighting fixture. It supports Bluetooth and Zigbee connectivity, works with mains AC power at 220–240 V, and lets you choose from millions of colours and adjustable white tones to create both functional and mood lighting.

Advantages

The Centris provides both general illumination from its central fixed lamp and targeted lighting from four individually adjustable spots. Smart control via Bluetooth or Zigbee enables wireless operation, scene selection, and integration with other smart home systems. Colour and temperature tuning allow precise ambience control while the black finish suits contemporary interiors.

Suitable for

• Living rooms where mixed ambient and accent lighting is needed
• Kitchens or dining areas requiring directional task light
• Home offices for adjustable, glare-reduced illumination
• Hallways and entryways to highlight artwork or architectural features

How to use

Install the fixture on a compatible ceiling electrical box and connect to the mains power (220–240 V) following local electrical codes. After power-up, pair the Centris with the Philips Hue Bluetooth app for basic control or add it to a Zigbee-based Hue Bridge for full functionality, including remote control, schedules, and scenes. Angle the four spotlights as needed to direct light where required and select colours or white temperatures via the app, voice assistants, or integrated smart-home controls.

Recommendations

For full smart-lighting features, add the Hue Bridge to your Zigbee network; use the spotlights for task or accent lighting while the central lamp provides ambient illumination. Angle spotlights away from seating to minimise glare and select warm white for relaxed settings or cooler white for focused tasks.
