PIR-bewegingsmelder MACLEAN MCE201 B/B IP65 passieve infrarooddetector, weerbestendig

MACLEAN MCE201 B/B PIR motion sensor is a passive infrared detector designed for reliable presence detection in both indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. With an IP65-rated housing, the device resists dust and water jets, making it suitable for porches, garages, utility rooms and other semi-exposed locations. The sensor converts detected infrared changes into switch signals for lighting, alarm inputs or home automation controllers, enabling automatic control based on movement.

Advantages

The sensor offers stable PIR detection with low power consumption and a weatherproof enclosure that meets IP65 protection requirements. Its compact design allows discrete mounting while delivering consistent motion sensing for energy-saving lighting control and improved security. The unit is compatible with standard switching systems and automation relays, providing straightforward integration into existing installations.

How to use

Install the PIR motion sensor at a recommended height and orientation for the target coverage area, avoiding direct exposure to weather extremes and sources of heat such as radiators or direct sunlight. Connect the sensor output to the lighting circuit, alarm input or automation controller following electrical safety standards and local regulations. After power-up, verify detection coverage by walking through the monitored area and adjust mounting angle or position to optimise the sensor field of view.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, mount the device under a shelter or in locations protected from direct rain and strong wind-driven spray. Avoid aiming the sensor toward heating vents, reflective surfaces or moving foliage. Periodically inspect the housing for dirt or debris and clean with a soft, damp cloth to maintain detection performance.
