Pistoolgreepboor Metabo BS 18 LT

The Metabo BS 18 LT is a compact pistol grip drill designed for light to medium drilling and screwdriving tasks. Weighing approximately 1.8 kg, the cordless drill combines a slim pistol-style handle with an 18V Lithium-Ion battery to provide a balance of maneuverability and working time. A keyless chuck with a maximum capacity of 13 mm enables quick bit changes. The tool is suitable for drilling up to 38 mm in wood and up to 13 mm in steel, making it adaptable for common DIY, repair and assembly jobs.

Advantages

The drill’s low weight and ergonomic pistol grip reduce operator fatigue during extended use while maintaining good control in confined spaces. The keyless chuck simplifies bit replacement without tools, and the 18V Lithium-Ion power source offers consistent torque and reliable runtime for home and workshop tasks. Compact dimensions and straightforward controls support precise handling for drilling and screwdriving operations.

Suitable for

• Home renovation and small construction tasks
• Furniture assembly and installation
• DIY repairs and maintenance
• Drilling in wood, metal and plastic within specified diameters
• Tight or overhead working positions where a compact tool is preferred

Key specifications

• Tool type: Pistol grip cordless drill
• Weight: approx. 1.8 kg (without battery or with standard battery depending on configuration)
• Battery: 18 V Lithium‑Ion
• Chuck type: Keyless chuck, max capacity 13 mm
• Maximum drilling diameter in wood: 38 mm
• Maximum drilling diameter in steel: 13 mm
• Ergonomics: Pistol-style handle for improved grip and control

How to use

Fit a charged 18V battery to the drill according to the manufacturer’s instructions and secure the desired drill bit in the keyless chuck by opening the chuck, inserting the bit and tightening by hand until it is firmly seated. Select the appropriate speed or torque setting if the model provides adjustable control, then position the drill perpendicular to the work surface. Apply steady pressure and start drilling at low speed to create a pilot hole, increasing speed as needed. For screwdriving, use the correct bit and torque setting to avoid overdriving or stripping screws. After use, remove the battery for storage or charging and clean the chuck and housing to remove dust and debris.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and hearing protection. Match the drill bit type and diameter to the material being worked to achieve clean holes within the specified drilling capacities. Avoid excessive side load on the chuck and do not exceed the rated drilling diameters to prevent premature wear. Store batteries in a cool, dry place and follow battery care guidelines to maintain runtime and lifespan.
