Platte kabel ShiverPeaks BS76109 100m zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS76109 100m Black flat cable is a telephone connection cable designed for reliable voice and low-speed data transmission in residential and small-office environments. Its flat profile reduces bulk and allows the cable to be routed discreetly along skirting boards, under carpets, through narrow channels and behind furniture. The cable is manufactured to BS76109 standards, indicating construction suitable for stable, long-term indoor use.

Advantages

The flat design minimizes visible cabling and simplifies installation in confined spaces while maintaining consistent electrical characteristics across the length of the cable. The black outer sheath provides a low-visibility finish that integrates with darker interiors. Compliance with BS76109 standards ensures defined dimensional and material properties for predictable performance and durability.

Suitable for

• Indoor telephone line installation in homes
• Wiring telephone handsets and small PBX extensions in offices
• Routing along skirting, under carpets or behind furniture where a low-profile cable is needed

Key specifications

• Cable type: flat telephone cable for voice and low-speed data
• Length: 100 m
• Outer sheath color: black
• Design: low-profile, flat construction for tight spaces
• Standards: manufactured to BS76109 performance and construction guidelines

How to use

Measure the required run to allow for routing along walls, skirting or through tight gaps, then cut the cable to length using appropriate tools. Strip the outer sheath and individual conductors carefully to expose the cores without nicking them, and connect to telephone plugs, sockets or distribution blocks following the terminal colour codes used in your installation. Secure the cable along the chosen route with low-profile clips or adhesive channels to prevent movement and mechanical stress.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight sharp bends and prolonged compression under heavy furniture; keep the cable away from mains power cables to reduce potential interference. Use the cable indoors only and verify continuity and pairing before finalising connections.
