Podium-/performancemicrofoon Beyerdynamic TG V70d s

The Beyerdynamic TG V70d s is a wired hypercardioid stage microphone designed for live performance and rental applications. It offers a frequency range of 25–18,000 Hz, an XLR-3 device interface and a robust black housing. With a weight of 345 g and a depth of 185 mm, the microphone balances handling comfort and stage presence while focusing on clear vocal capture and reduced background noise.

Advantages

The TG V70d s provides powerful, well-resolved sound with pronounced proximity effect that supports less powerful voices and delivers a rounded, full low end. Its hypercardioid polar pattern reduces feedback and isolates the desired source from stage noise. The microphone features a progressively damped capsule suspension to minimise handling noise and a solid construction suited to professional touring and rental use. It is ready for direct connection via XLR-3 and performs reliably with basic mixing console settings.

Suitable for

• Live vocal performance on stage
• House of worship and public speaking
• Rental and touring setups
• Front-of-house and monitor applications requiring feedback rejection

Key specifications

• Transducer type: dynamic
• Polar pattern: hypercardioid
• Frequency response: 25–18,000 Hz
• Connectivity: wired with XLR-3 interface
• Colour: black
• Weight: 345 g
• Depth/length: 185 mm

How to use

Connect the TG V70d s to a mixing console or preamplifier using a standard XLR cable. Position the microphone so the capsule faces the sound source and maintain a consistent distance to manage proximity effect and low-frequency presence. Engage the high-pass filter on the console if available to reduce rumble and stage low-end bleed. Avoid rough handling and use a stand or clip to benefit from the built-in capsule suspension and reduce handling noise.

Recommendations

For live vocals, start with a neutral EQ and enable the console high-pass filter; add gentle low-frequency reduction only if excessive proximity bass occurs. Use cardioid-aware monitor placement and gain staging to maximise feedback rejection. For rental and touring, use a secure clip and regular inspection of the housing and capsule suspension to ensure consistent performance.
