Popfilter SSQ Double Pop Filter SSQ POP1 SS-1923 voor studiomicrofoons, tweelaags metalen gaas, verstelbare zwanenhals

The SSQ Double Pop Filter POP1 SS-1923 is a microphone accessory designed to reduce plosive sounds and protect studio microphones during vocal recording. Constructed with a dual-layer metal mesh, this pop filter provides effective diffusion of breath and consonant bursts without significantly altering vocal tone. An adjustable gooseneck and a secure clamp allow precise placement in front of dynamic or condenser microphones on stands and booms, making it suitable for a variety of recording setups including podcasting, voiceover and streaming.

Advantages

The dual-layer metal mesh design delivers consistent pop reduction while remaining durable and easy to clean. The flexible gooseneck enables accurate positioning for different microphone types and performer heights, and the clamp provides stable attachment to stands and booms. The metal construction offers longevity compared with fabric pop filters and maintains shape over extended use.

How to use

Secure the clamp to the microphone stand or boom arm at a comfortable distance from the performer. Bend the gooseneck to position the metal mesh approximately 5–15 cm in front of the microphone capsule, adjusting distance to balance pop reduction and natural vocal presence. Test with sample recordings and fine-tune the angle and distance to minimize plosives while preserving vocal clarity. Clean the metal mesh gently if needed to remove dust or moisture.

Recommendations

For optimal results, place the pop filter so that it intercepts direct airflow from plosive consonants without touching the microphone. Use small adjustments to find the balance between plosive suppression and tonal transparency; moving the filter slightly farther from the capsule increases natural presence, while closer placement increases attenuation of breath sounds.
