Portblocker Lindy USB-portblokkering verpakking met 4 stuks kleurcode oranje

USB port blockers provide a physical way to restrict access to USB ports on shared workstations and public devices. They are designed to prevent unauthorised users from inserting pen drives, USB mass storage and mobile devices, helping to reduce the risk of data theft or introduction of malware on machines with exposed USB ports.

Advantages

These USB port blockers are simple to install and remove using a matching key, require no software, and offer a visible deterrent against unauthorised USB use. The system allows administrators to control which ports remain accessible by colour-coded compatibility between locks and keys.

Key specifications

• Function: physical blocking of USB ports to prevent device insertion
• Compatibility: designed for standard USB port sizes (ensure colour match between blocker and key)
• Operation: lock inserted into port and released via sliding mechanism on key; removal by reinserting key and pulling out
• Use case: suitable for shared workstations, public kiosks and other devices with exposed USB ports

How to use

Attach the key to the lock and insert the assembly into the USB port. Release the sliding mechanism on the key to leave the blocker in place. To remove the blocker, insert the key back into the lock and pull the lock out. Ensure you use the key that corresponds to the blocker colour, as keys are only compatible with matching-colour port blockers.

Recommendations

Keep a secure, organised set of keys matching the colour-coded blockers and document which ports are intentionally blocked to maintain access control without disrupting authorised use.
