Potloodstiften navulverpakking Staedtler Mars Carbon 200 4B zwart

The Staedtler Mars Carbon 200 4B Black lead refill provides a reliable source of dark, soft graphite for drawing and writing. Each box contains 12 individual black leads in 4B hardness, formulated to deliver smooth strokes, deep tonal values and good blendability. Compatible with standard mechanical pencil holders and clutch pencils designed for artist leads, these refills are suitable for sketching, shading and detailed line work where a rich, velvety black is required.

Advantages

These 4B leads are manufactured to offer consistent diameter and hardness across the set, reducing breakage and ensuring uniform mark-making. The soft 4B grade produces intense black lines and gradients with minimal pressure, while the carbon composition improves smear resistance compared with softer pure graphite grades. The compact box protects unused leads and allows simple, tidy storage.

Suitable for

• Sketching and freehand drawing
• Shading and tonal work
• Detailing in illustrations and technical sketches
• Art classes, student work and practice exercises
• Everyday note-taking when a darker line is preferred

Key specifications

• Hardness: 4B (soft, dark)
• Color: Black
• Quantity per box: 12 leads
• Lead type: Carbon-based art lead
• Compatible with: Standard artist mechanical/clutch pencil holders that accept spare leads
• Diameter: standard spare lead diameter for pencil holders (check holder for exact fit)

How to use

Insert a single lead into a compatible mechanical or clutch pencil according to the pencil manufacturer's instructions. Apply gentle, even pressure for sketching or increase pressure slightly for darker strokes; the 4B grade requires less force to produce deep tones. Replace the lead when it becomes too short or blunt, storing unused leads back in the protective box to avoid breakage. Sharpening with a lead pointer or trimming the tip can restore a fine point for detailed work.

Recommendations

For best results in shading and gradients, work from light to dark and blend with a tortillon or soft brush. Use a firm but careful touch to minimize lead breakage, and keep spare leads in the original box to protect them from impact and moisture.
