Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3,4 GHz 8 cores 32 MB L3 socket AM4

AMD StoreMI Technology provides a fast and straightforward method to expand and accelerate desktop PC storage on systems with an AMD Ryzen™ processor. The platform combines multiple storage devices into a single volume and intelligently moves frequently used data to faster media to improve responsiveness. Paired with AMD's Zen 3 core architecture and Ryzen processors, it supports high-performance computing and gaming workloads.

Advantages

StoreMI simplifies storage management by unifying SSDs and HDDs into one logical drive and transparently prioritizing hot data for quicker access. The Zen 3 core architecture delivers high IPC and single-threaded performance suitable for demanding applications and gaming. Selected Ryzen processors that meet VR-Ready Premium criteria provide enhanced capabilities for virtual reality experiences, including optimized performance and compatibility.

Key specifications

• Compatibility: Desktop PCs with AMD Ryzen™ processors
• Technology: AMD StoreMI for tiered storage acceleration
• CPU architecture: AMD "Zen 3" cores
• VR capability: Ryzen™ VR-Ready Premium on select processors

How to use

Install the supported AMD Ryzen™ processor and compatible motherboard, then enable and configure AMD StoreMI through the provided software utility or firmware options. Combine the desired SSD(s) and HDD(s) into a single accelerated volume, select caching and performance preferences, and allow the software to migrate frequently used data automatically to faster storage tiers.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use a modern NVMe or SATA SSD as the primary fast tier and a larger-capacity HDD as the secondary tier. Ensure your system firmware and AMD chipset drivers are up to date and verify that the chosen Ryzen processor is listed as VR-Ready Premium if virtual reality performance is required.
