Acer P5550 is a white, standard-throw DLP projector designed for classrooms, meeting rooms and medium-to-large venues. It delivers native 1080p (1920x1080) resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 5200 ANSI lumens of brightness to present clear, detailed images in well-lit environments. The projector uses a single 240 W lamp, manual focus and a zoomable lens with a focal length range of 16.9–21.61 mm and an aperture range of F2.43–2.78. Connectivity includes full-size HDMI 1.4b and RJ-45 Ethernet for network management; the unit also supports 3D content and includes a built-in 10 W speaker.

Advantages

The Acer P5550 combines high brightness and native Full HD resolution to maintain image clarity in bright rooms and on larger screens. Its DLP technology ensures sharp contrast and consistent color performance while the single-lamp optical system offers straightforward maintenance and lamp replacement. Compact and relatively lightweight at approximately 2.8 kg, the projector is simple to position and install. Integrated Ethernet support allows remote monitoring and basic network control, and the presence of HDMI 1.4b preserves compatibility with many modern video sources.

Place the Acer P5550 on a stable surface or mount it according to the room layout at a distance appropriate for the desired screen size within the specified compatibility range. Connect a video source using the full-size HDMI 1.4b port or connect the projector to a network via RJ-45 for remote management. Adjust manual focus and zoom to achieve a sharp image, and fine-tune projector placement and keystone correction if available on your control system. Power the unit and allow the lamp to warm up before presenting; observe the manufacturer’s lamp handling instructions when replacing the lamp.

Recommendations

Use the Acer P5550 in spaces with controlled ambient light for best perceived contrast; for consistently bright rooms, rely on the projector's 5200 ANSI lumens to maintain image visibility. Regularly check and clean air filters and vents, follow recommended lamp replacement intervals, and use HDMI 1.4b connections for high-definition sources. For networked deployments, enable appropriate access controls when using Ethernet management features.
