Prullenbak Hailo Öko duo plus M 18 L rechthoekig staal zwart

The Hailo Öko duo plus M 18 L is a rectangular pedal-operated trash bin with a steel housing in a black matte finish. It is designed for household or office waste separation with twin removable inner buckets for sorting different waste streams. The compact dimensions (width 320 mm, depth 330 mm, height 430 mm) and soft-close lid make it suitable for daily use in kitchens, workspaces or utility rooms.

Advantages

The bin features a hands-free pedal mechanism and two separate removable inserts that simplify sorting and emptying. The steel construction provides durable, hygienic storage, while the soft-close lid prevents slamming and reduces noise. Its rectangular shape and compact footprint save space and fit neatly against walls or inside cabinets.

Suitable for

• Separation of household waste and recyclables (e.g., general waste and recyclables)
• Small kitchens, utility rooms and home offices
• Office waste sorting at individual desks or shared spaces

When it may not be suitable

This bin has a total capacity of 18 litres, so it may be too small for large families or areas with high-volume waste production where less frequent emptying is required. It is designed for indoor use and may not be suitable for outdoor or wet environments.

Key specifications

• Total capacity: 18 L (two inserts included)
• Shape: Rectangular
• Material: Steel housing with removable plastic inner buckets
• Finish: Black, matte
• Operation: Foot pedal with soft-close lid
• Dimensions (approx.): 320 mm width × 330 mm depth × 430 mm height

How to use

Operate the bin by pressing the foot pedal to open the lid; release and the soft-close mechanism lowers the lid quietly. Remove the inner buckets by lifting them out for emptying and cleaning. Wipe the steel housing with a damp cloth and mild detergent as needed; wash the plastic inserts separately and let them dry before replacing.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm that an 18 L total capacity meets your household or office needs
• Consider the bin’s rectangular dimensions to ensure it fits the intended space
• Intended indoor use—avoid placing in exposed outdoor or wet areas

Recommendations

For efficient waste separation place labeled liners or use different colored bags in each insert. Empty the inserts regularly to prevent odors and wipe the steel surface periodically to maintain the finish.
