Rack-blindplaat Extralink Front Blank Panel 2U 19 inch zwart, stalen behuizing

Extralink Front Blank Panel 2U 19" Black is a steel blanking panel designed to occupy unused 2U spaces in standard 19-inch server and network racks. With a black finish and dimensions matching a 48.3 cm (19") rack, the panel helps maintain structured cabinet interiors, control airflow and reduce ingress of dust into equipment bays.

Advantages

The steel construction provides durable coverage for unused rack space while the black powder-coated finish resists corrosion and integrates visually with typical rack equipment. By filling empty rack units, the panel contributes to improved front-to-rear airflow management and helps prevent hot spots. It also creates a neater appearance in server rooms and network cabinets and reduces the entry of dust and debris into equipment areas.

Suitable for

• Filling unused 2U spaces in 19-inch server and network racks
• Improving airflow management in data cabinets and enclosures
• Preventing dust accumulation inside rack-mounted equipment bays
• Maintaining a tidy appearance and organized cable routing in racks

Key specifications

• Rack unit height: 2U
• Compatibility: 19-inch rack standard (48.3 cm)
• Material: steel housing
• Finish: black powder-coated surface
• Function: blanking panel for airflow and dust protection

How to use

Position the 2U blanking panel in the desired location within the 19-inch rack and secure it to the front mounting rails using appropriate rack screws or captive fasteners. Ensure the panel is aligned with adjacent equipment and tightened to avoid vibration. Use the panel to close off unused vertical space and help direct cooled air through populated equipment bays.

Recommendations

Install blanking panels in all unused rack units to maintain consistent airflow patterns and reduce dust ingress; combine with proper cable management and planned rack airflow (cold aisle / hot aisle) for optimal thermal performance.
