Rack-blindplaat Triton 19 inch RAB-ZP-X06-A1 6U zwart – 19-inch-6U-blindplaat

The Triton 19" RAB-ZP-X06-A1 6U Black rack blanking panel is a flat, 6U-high plate designed to fill unused rack units in 19-inch server, network and AV cabinets. Made for tidy installation environments, the blanking panel blocks open spaces to stabilise airflow inside the rack, reduce recirculation of hot air and support more efficient cooling of active components. The black finish provides a uniform appearance in standard equipment racks.

Advantages

This 6U blank plate offers a simple, passive method to control internal rack airflow without requiring additional power or active components. It helps reduce hotspots by preventing warm exhaust air from circulating to intake areas, contributes to organised cable and equipment presentation, and improves overall thermal management in densely populated cabinets. The slim, low-profile design is compatible with standard 19-inch mounting rails and is easy to fit and remove when rack layout changes.

Suitable for

• Data centre server racks and IT equipment cabinets
• Telecommunications distribution frames and network closets
• Audio-visual and broadcast cabinets where unused U spaces must be closed
• Laboratory or industrial racks requiring controlled airflow and neat appearance

Key specifications

• Form factor: 19-inch, 6U blanking panel
• Colour: black
• Material: metal or ABS composite (flat plate construction)
• Mounting: fits standard 19-inch rack rails
• Finish: matte or powder-coated surface for reduced reflection
• Height: 6 rack units (approx. 266.7 mm usable panel height)

How to use

Install the blanking panel by aligning it with the 19-inch rack mounting rails at the desired vertical position and securing it with the appropriate rack screws or captive nuts. Ensure the panel is flush with adjacent equipment to create an uninterrupted barrier for airflow. When rearranging equipment, remove the panel by unscrewing the fasteners and store it for future use or reinstall in another location to close vacant U spaces.

Recommendations

Use blanking panels consistently in front-to-back airflow setups to maintain separation between cold intake and hot exhaust streams. Combine multiple panels to cover larger unused areas and inspect periodically to ensure secure mounting and intact finish. For racks with active cooling strategies, coordinate panel placement with cooling airflow zones to achieve optimal thermal performance.
