Rack-rek Equip Variables rek 19 inch 1HE 350 mm grijs

The Equip Variable Shelf 19' 1U 350MM Grey is a fixed 1U rack shelf designed for standard 19-inch server racks. With an overall width of 485 mm and a depth of 347 mm, the shelf provides a compact platform for mounting non-rack-mountable devices or organizing accessories inside the rack. Constructed with a light grey finish and a rated load capacity of up to 100 kg, this shelf suits environments where a stable, load-bearing surface is required without occupying additional rack units beyond 1U.

Advantages

The shelf offers a combination of compact dimensions and a relatively high load rating, enabling storage of heavier equipment or multiple smaller items on a single 1U shelf. Its 19" compatibility ensures straightforward installation into standard racks, while the light grey colour supports neutral integration into typical server room or network cabinet aesthetics. The product's modest weight of 2.38 kg makes handling and installation simple for one or two technicians.

Suitable for

• Placing non-rack-mountable devices such as small UPS units, switches or external drives
• Organising cables, patch panels accessories and small tools inside a rack
• Temporary staging of testing equipment or monitoring devices within the rack
• Supporting heavier single items up to the specified 100 kg load limit

How to use

Mount the Equip Variable Shelf into the 19" rack by aligning the front and rear mounting points with the rack's vertical rails at the chosen 1U position. Secure the shelf using appropriate cage nuts and bolts or the rack manufacturer's recommended fasteners. Place equipment centrally on the shelf to distribute weight evenly and avoid overhanging items. Verify that the total weight on the shelf does not exceed the 100 kg maximum load rating before leaving equipment in place. If routing cables across or under the shelf, ensure they do not interfere with ventilation or access to adjacent rack units.

Recommendations

Use the shelf for permanent or temporary placement of non-rack-native devices and always check weight distribution and fastening tightness after initial installation or when adding heavier items.
