Ravensburger CreArt malset Kleine aap – creatieve malset voor kinderen

Ravensburger CreArt Little Monkey paint-by-number kit (model 23986) provides a guided hobby painting experience with a pre-printed, numbered canvas and matching paints. The kit is built around a clear color-by-number system that helps users of varying skill levels create a finished animal-themed artwork. Included are acrylic paints matched to the numbered zones on the canvas and the brushes needed to apply them, allowing gradual development of painting technique, color recognition and a frame-ready result.

Advantages

The set simplifies the painting process by assigning each area of the canvas a number that corresponds to a specific paint, which reduces uncertainty about color selection and encourages accurate coverage. Using acrylic paints means quick drying times and durable color retention. The pre-printed canvas keeps composition and outlines clear, so users can focus on brush control and even application. The kit is compact and self-contained, suitable for single-session projects or stepwise progress over multiple sessions.

Suitable for

• Beginners learning basic painting and color matching
• Hobbyists seeking a guided, time-limited creative project
• Gift making — producing a framed animal illustration
• Family or group craft sessions and educational activities

Key specifications

• Pre-printed canvas with numbered color zones for guided painting
• Set of acrylic paints matched to numbered areas
• One or more brushes suitable for filling medium-sized zones and finer details
• Design theme: small monkey / animal motif
• Intended use: leisure painting, skill development, decorative finish

How to use

Prepare a clean, well-lit workspace and protect the surface with newspaper or a drop cloth. Lay the pre-printed canvas flat and open the paint pots in numerical order. Start with larger numbered areas and use broader brush strokes to fill them, then switch to a smaller brush for fine details and edges. Allow each color to dry before applying adjacent shades to prevent unwanted mixing. If necessary, apply a second thin coat for even coverage. After the paint fully dries, the canvas can be mounted or framed for display.

Recommendations

Work in a ventilated area and keep a cup of clean water and paper towels nearby to rinse brushes between colors. Store leftover paints tightly closed and upright to preserve them for future touch-ups. For a long-lasting finish, consider applying a clear acrylic varnish once the painting is completely dry.
