RCA-stekker ShiverPeaks BS52021-R

The ShiverPeaks BS52021-R is a female RCA connector designed for audio and video signal transmission. Finished in gold for improved conductivity and resistance to corrosion, this single-piece connector provides a compact solution for restoring or extending RCA cable terminations. It is intended for use where a reliable, low-resistance connection is required between RCA-jack-equipped devices and cabling.

Advantages

The gold-coloured plating improves electrical contact and reduces oxidation over time, helping to maintain clear audio and video signals. Its female configuration allows straightforward mating with standard male RCA plugs, and the compact construction offers compatibility with tight installation spaces. Supplied as a single connector, it is suitable for targeted repairs or custom cable assemblies without excess bulk.

Suitable for

• Repairing damaged RCA cable ends
• Creating custom audio or composite video leads
• Connecting consumer audio equipment such as amplifiers, DVD players, and televisions
• Use in home entertainment and small studio setups

Key specifications

• Connector type: female RCA
• Finish: gold-coloured plating for improved conductivity
• Intended signals: analog audio and composite video
• Packaging: single connector per pack
• Physical form factor: compact inline RCA socket

How to use

Strip the cable to the appropriate length according to the connector's assembly method, taking care to expose the centre conductor and the shield. Insert the conductor and shield into the designated ports and secure according to the connector's fastening system (solder, crimp, or set-screw, dependent on the specific assembly type). After assembly, verify a snug mechanical fit and test the connection with the intended audio/video equipment to confirm signal continuity and correct polarity.

Recommendations

For best performance, use with clean, undamaged cable and mate only with standard RCA male plugs. Avoid excessive bending or strain at the connector junction and periodically inspect contacts for contamination; clean gently with suitable contact cleaner if necessary.
