Rechthoekige stalen prullenbak Hailo Öko duo Plus M 18 L, wit

The Hailo Öko duo Plus M is a rectangular steel pedal bin with an 18 L capacity and a white matte finish. It is built for household and office environments where space is limited and tidy waste separation is needed. The compact steel housing and twin inner inserts allow two waste streams to be collected separately in one unit while the pedal-operated soft-close lid keeps noise to a minimum.

Advantages

The bin combines a durable steel exterior with two removable inner containers for convenient sorting of recyclables and general waste. A foot pedal enables hands-free opening and the soft-close mechanism ensures the lid shuts quietly. Its slim rectangular shape makes it easy to place against walls or inside cabinets and the white matte surface fits neutral interiors.

Suitable for

• Home kitchens with limited floor space
• Utility rooms and laundry areas
• Small office waste collection points
• Rooms where quiet operation is preferred

When it may not be suitable

The 18 L total capacity is intended for small households or workplaces; it may be insufficient for large families or high-traffic commercial areas. The rectangular, compact form factor is not designed for very large or bulk waste items.

Key specifications

• Capacity: 18 litres (total, with twin inserts)
• Material: steel housing with removable inner inserts
• Finish: white, matte
• Opening mechanism: foot pedal
• Closing: soft-close lid
• Shape: rectangular, space-saving design

How to use

Step on the pedal to open the lid and deposit waste into the appropriate inner insert. Remove the inner containers by lifting them out for emptying and cleaning. Close the lid gently; the soft-close mechanism will lower it quietly once released. Regularly rinse and dry the inserts to prevent odours and maintain hygiene.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure an 18 L capacity meets your household or office needs
• Check available floor or cabinet space for a rectangular unit
• Consider whether two separate inserts suit your recycling habits
• Choose a finish that matches your interior (white matte)

Recommendations

Place the bin near the main waste generation point (e.g., kitchen worktop). Use liners sized for 18 L inserts and empty regularly to avoid overflow; wipe the steel exterior with a damp cloth to maintain the white matte finish.
