REVELL modeltrein Express locomotief BR18 schaal 1:87

REVELL Model Train Express Locomotive BR18 Scale 1:87 is a detailed plastic model kit representing the BR18 express steam locomotive at HO scale. The kit is designed for collectors and hobbyists who want an accurate replica for display, integration into model railway layouts, dioramas, or educational projects. Parts are scaled to 1:87 with molded details that reflect the proportions and silhouette of the original locomotive.

Advantages

This model offers high detail and authentic proportions at 1:87 scale, making it suitable for realistic layouts and display. The kit format allows for assembly and painting, enabling customization and finishing to match specific prototypes or era-specific liveries. Components are designed for compatibility with HO gauge layouts, and the plastic construction ensures durable, lightweight parts that hold fine detail.

Key specifications

• Scale: 1:87 (HO)
• Model type: Express steam locomotive BR18 replica
• Material: Injection-molded plastic parts
• Assembly: Kit form requiring glue and paint
• Finish potential: Suitable for painting and weathering
• Compatibility: Designed for HO gauge model railway layouts

How to use

Assemble the model following the included instruction manual, preparing parts by removing flash and sprue connections. Use model glue suitable for plastic to secure components, and apply primer before painting for best adhesion and finish. Decals or printed details provided with the kit should be applied after paint has dried and sealed with a clear coat if desired. Once assembled and painted, the locomotive can be displayed on a shelf or integrated into an HO gauge layout; electrical operation requires a compatible motorized chassis and electrical pick-up components which are not included unless specified.

Recommendations

Work in a well-ventilated area when using adhesives, paints, and solvents. Use fine tools and magnification for small parts, and follow manufacturer instructions for adhesives and paints. Store unassembled parts and decals in a dry, dust-free place to preserve fit and finish.
