RJ-45 kabelverbinder ShiverPeaks BS71220-8MS

The ShiverPeaks BS71220-8MS is a metallic RJ-45 wire connector engineered for female-to-female connections. Designed to join two Ethernet cables securely, this compact connector supports stable data transmission in networking setups. Its metal housing provides enhanced durability and shielding compared with standard plastic couplers, making it suitable for short inline extensions, temporary repairs, or linking patch cables where a female-to-female join is required. Each pack contains one connector.

Advantages

The metallic construction increases mechanical strength and offers improved electromagnetic shielding to reduce interference. The compact, straightforward design allows quick inline connections without tools, and the universal RJ-45 interface ensures compatibility with standard Ethernet cables. Its single-piece format is convenient for on-the-spot fixes and does not require additional adapters.

Suitable for

• Extending or joining two Cat5e/Cat6 patch cables
• Temporary cable repairs in home or office networks
• Connecting devices in tight spaces where a short inline coupler is needed
• Fieldwork and service technicians who need a compact female-to-female RJ-45 connector

Key specifications

• Connector type: female-to-female RJ-45 coupler
• Material: metal housing for improved durability and shielding
• Cable compatibility: standard 8P8C Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6 compatible)
• Form factor: compact inline coupler, single-port
• Use environment: indoor networking and patching applications

How to use

Align the RJ-45 plug of each Ethernet cable with the connector's ports and insert until the plug latches engage. Ensure both cable clips are seated to provide a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Verify the network link by checking device indicators or running a network test to confirm signal continuity and data throughput. The metallic coupler requires no special tools for installation.

Recommendations

Use the connector for short-term extensions or repairs; for permanent installations, consider using properly terminated patch panels or wall jacks. Avoid excessive bending or tension at the joined cables to prevent intermittent connection or strain on the connector. When used in environments with significant electromagnetic noise, the metal housing helps reduce interference but routing and cable quality also affect performance.
