RJ-45 modulaire koppeling VALUE Cat.6 afgeschermd zilver

The VALUE RJ-45 Modular Coupler Cat.6 shielded silver is a metal-bodied inline adapter that joins two standard RJ-45 network cables to extend Ethernet connections. Designed for Cat.6 performance, the shielded coupler maintains a grounded metal housing to reduce electromagnetic interference and preserve signal integrity for higher-speed data transmission. Its compact silver finish provides a discreet, durable connection point for temporary or permanent cable extensions where a simple, tool-free join is required.

Advantages

The shielded metal construction offers mechanical robustness and helps protect the connection from external electromagnetic interference, while Cat.6 compatibility supports higher bandwidths compared with earlier categories. The inline modular design requires no special tools for use, enabling quick connection of two RJ-45 cables. The silver finish provides corrosion resistance and a neutral appearance that integrates with most cabling installations.

Suitable for

• Extending Ethernet runs between two RJ-45 patch cables
• Temporary network connections in offices, labs, and event setups
• Shielded cabling environments where reduced EMI is desired
• Home or small business networks using Cat.6 infrastructure

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.6 compatible modular coupler
• Shielding: Metal shielded housing for EMI reduction
• Connector type: RJ-45 female to RJ-45 female inline adapter
• Material: Metal housing for increased durability
• Color: Silver finish
• Installation: Tool-free plug-in connection of two cables

How to use

Align the RJ-45 plugs of the two Ethernet cables with the female ports of the coupler and push gently until each plug clicks into place. Ensure the locking tabs of the plugs engage correctly to maintain a secure connection. When removing, depress the plug tab and pull the cable straight out to avoid damaging the contacts. For best performance, use Cat.6 or higher-rated terminated cables and avoid sharp bends or excessive cable stress near the coupler.

Recommendations

For optimal signal performance, use the coupler in short extension scenarios and within shielded cabling systems where grounding is present. Avoid using multiple inline couplers in series, as each additional connection may introduce slight signal loss; when longer runs are required, consider replacing with a continuous cable or a properly installed patch panel solution.
