RJ-45-netwerkcontactdoos ShiverPeaks BS74280-O, categorie 6a, metallic orange

ShiverPeaks BS74280-O is a single-port RJ-45 socket-outlet engineered for Category 6a networking. The outlet provides a fixed termination point for Cat6a Ethernet cabling in walls, panels or patch panels and is finished in metallic orange. It supports high-speed data transmission consistent with Category 6a specifications and is intended for structured cabling installations in offices, data cabinets and other networked environments requiring either shielded or unshielded copper connections.

Advantages

The socket-outlet offers a compact, single-port design that simplifies installation and provides a clean, durable termination for Cat6a cabling. The metallic orange finish improves visual identification during installation and maintenance. Its construction supports reliable performance for high-bandwidth applications and is suitable for both shielded and unshielded twisted-pair installations when used with compatible cabling and connectors.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in office environments
• Data cabinet or patch panel terminations
• High-speed Ethernet connections up to Category 6a
• Installations requiring clear port identification using a metallic orange finish

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45, single port
• Performance class: Category 6a (suitable for 10 Gbps Ethernet over copper within Cat6a limits)
• Finish: metallic orange
• Mounting: fixed wall or panel termination (single-gang or compatible faceplate/panel openings as applicable)
• Cabling: supports shielded and unshielded twisted-pair Cat6a cables when terminated correctly

How to use

Prepare the Cat6a cable by stripping the outer jacket and arranging the pairs according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Terminate conductors into the rear connection points of the outlet, ensuring correct pair alignment and secure contact. Mount the socket-outlet into the intended wall box or panel opening and fasten according to the mounting hardware and faceplate or panel specifications. After installation, verify continuity and performance with appropriate cable testers and, if required, perform certification testing for Cat6a compliance.

Recommendations

Use compatible Cat6a-rated patch cords and connectors, and follow shielding practices if using shielded cabling to maintain performance. Verify wiring standard consistency across the network and test links after installation to ensure expected throughput and signal integrity.
