RJ45-poortblokkering ShiverPeaks BS08-01034 — 1 sleutel, 10 blauwe blokkeringen

ShiverPeaks RJ45 port blocker BS08-01034 is a hardware accessory kit that provides a simple physical method to prevent unauthorized use of Ethernet ports. The kit contains ten blue port locks and one universal key designed for standard RJ45 connectors. Intended for locations where controlling physical network access is required, the port blockers insert into unused RJ45 sockets to deny connection while allowing visible and auditable port protection.

Advantages

The kit offers a compact, low-profile solution for port control without modifying network devices. Installation and removal are performed with the supplied key, enabling quick deployment and minimal downtime. The blue color makes blocked ports easily identifiable, and the non-conductive material reduces risk of electrical interference. This passive method of access control complements software-based policies for a layered security approach.

Suitable for

• Office network cabinets and wall outlets where unused ports must be disabled
• Education facilities to restrict student access to network sockets
• Public spaces such as libraries, hotels, and conference rooms to prevent unauthorized connections
• IT maintenance and staging areas to mark and protect reserved ports

Key specifications

• Quantity: 10 port locks and 1 universal removal key
• Color: blue for visual identification
• Compatibility: standard 8P8C (RJ45) Ethernet ports
• Material: non-conductive plastic
• Form factor: low-profile insert compatible with flush and recessed ports

How to use

Align a port lock with the RJ45 socket and gently push it into the port until it seats securely. Use only the supplied key or authorized replacements to avoid damaging ports. Regularly inspect blocked ports for proper seating and replace any damaged locks.

Recommendations

Maintain an inventory of used and spare locks and label blocked ports where necessary. Combine physical port blocking with network access control and monitoring to ensure comprehensive protection. Store the removal key in a controlled location and limit access to authorized personnel only.
