ROLINE InfiniBand/glasvezelkabel 15 m 2x LC OS2 wit

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 15 m 2x LC OS2 White is a single-mode fibre cable designed for high-speed, long-distance data transmission. With OS2 fibre and two LC connectors, this 15-metre cable supports full duplex communication and is intended for use in environments that require low attenuation and reliable signal integrity, such as data centres, server rooms and telecommunications racks.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides low-loss single-mode transmission with a 9 µm core diameter, ensuring stable performance over extended distances. The LC connector pair offers compact, industry-standard interfacing for InfiniBand and fibre channel equipment. Its full duplex capability allows simultaneous bidirectional data flow, which is essential for modern network architectures. The white outer jacket aids in cable identification and routing in organised installations.

Suitable for

• Data centre uplinks and inter-rack connectivity
• High-speed InfiniBand networks and cluster interconnects
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch fibre links
• Telecommunications and long-reach network segments

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Single-mode OS2
• Connector type: 2× LC duplex
• Length: 15 m
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: White

How to use

Inspect connector end-faces and clean them with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before installation to avoid signal loss. Route the cable following standard bend radius recommendations for single-mode fibre and secure it to avoid tension or kinks. Plug the LC connectors into the corresponding ports on the InfiniBand adapters, switches or transceivers until they click into place. Verify link status and perform optical power or continuity tests as required by your network verification procedures.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dust-free environment, keep protective caps on connectors when not connected, and avoid tight bends. Use proper cable management and label runs for maintenance; when used in long-distance or high-performance links, verify compatibility of transceivers and perform end-to-end testing to ensure expected throughput and latency.
