How to use

Install the detector on a suitable ceiling or high wall location following local building and fire codes, making sure it is connected to the wired alarm circuit for primary power and secured so the internal 3 V lithium battery can provide backup if the mains supply fails. Position the unit away from ventilation outlets, fans, or areas with frequent dust or steam to reduce false alarms. After electrical connection, perform an operational test according to the manufacturer’s instructions to confirm alarm signaling and battery backup functionality.

Recommendations

Test the detector regularly (for example monthly) and replace the lithium battery as recommended by the manufacturer. Clean the outer housing occasionally with a soft, dry cloth and avoid using solvents. Do not paint the detector or obstruct the sensing chamber. When integrating into a wired system, ensure compatibility with the control panel and follow wiring diagrams and safety regulations to maintain reliable operation.
