Router D-Link 5G NR AX3000 (G530V2) – dual-band Wi-Fi 6, 5G/4G, gigabit-ethernet, 8 interne antennes

The D-Link 5G NR AX3000 (G530V2) is a desktop router that combines 5G mobile connectivity with dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) to deliver up to 3400 Mbps combined wireless throughput. It supports 5G (NSA/SA), 4G LTE and 3G networks via a built-in SIM slot, and also provides gigabit wired connectivity with a WAN RJ‑45 port and one Gigabit LAN port. The router includes WPA3 security and is designed for reliable high-speed Internet in homes or small offices where fixed-line broadband is limited or as a backup to wired connections.

Advantages

The G530V2 offers ultra-fast 5G speeds (up to 3.4 Gbps in NSA mode) together with Wi‑Fi 6 efficiency for better coverage and capacity across multiple devices. Its plug-and-play SIM support enables quick deployment in locations without fixed-line Internet, while gigabit Ethernet ports let you connect high-demand wired devices. Security features such as WPA3 and recognised cybersecurity certification help protect connected devices and data. The fanless design provides silent operation and lower power consumption for compact spaces.

Suitable for

• Homes and small offices needing high-speed wireless Internet
• Rural locations or temporary sites without fixed-line broadband
• 4K/8K streaming, online gaming and video conferencing
• Reliable backup Internet via dual-WAN auto-failover
• Wired devices requiring gigabit connections (PC, smart TV, game console)

When it may not be suitable

If you require multiple Gigabit LAN ports for a large wired network or advanced mesh Wi‑Fi coverage across a large building, the single Gigabit LAN port and lack of mesh support may be limiting. Also, in areas with no cellular coverage, the 5G/4G features cannot provide connectivity and a fixed-line solution will still be necessary.

How to use

Place the router in a central location for optimal wireless coverage and insert a compatible SIM card into the built-in slot if you plan to use mobile broadband. Connect a wired Internet source to the WAN RJ‑45 port or use the 5G/4G network for Internet access. Configure network name (SSID), password and security settings via the web-based management interface or the Falcon app for simplified setup and ongoing management. Use the Gigabit LAN port to attach a high-demand wired device for stable, low-latency connections.

What to consider before purchase

• Check local 5G/4G network coverage and supported frequency bands with your mobile operator
• Ensure a single Gigabit LAN port meets your wired networking needs or plan for a switch if more ports are required
• Confirm compatibility of your SIM plan for data and any carrier requirements
• Consider placement for best Wi‑Fi coverage and cellular reception

Recommendations

For optimal performance, place the router elevated and away from large metal objects or thick walls; keep firmware up to date through the web interface or Falcon app and enable WPA3 to maintain network security. If you need more wired ports, add a gigabit switch to the LAN port; for wider whole-building coverage, consider additional access points or a mesh system that complements the G530V2.
