S/FTP-patchkabel ROLINE Cat.5e 7 m grijs

S/FTP Patch Cord ROLINE Cat.5e 7 m Grey is a 7 m network patch cable engineered for reliable Ethernet connections between devices. The cable uses 4-pair stranded copper conductors with complete braid shielding and aluminium-clad polyester foil to reduce electromagnetic interference. Both ends are fitted with screened RJ-45 plugs and moulded kink protection for improved durability and flexible routing in confined spaces.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction provides enhanced protection against crosstalk and external interference, while gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 plugs ensure stable signal transmission and corrosion resistance. The moulded kink protection and flexible sheath support tight bends without damaging the 7 m cable, and the 1:1 contact wiring follows the EIA/TIA 568 standard for straightforward installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers in office and home networks
• Patching between patch panels and network equipment
• Data transmission in small server racks or network cabinets
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of a device (PC, switch, router) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the target device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click. Route the cable avoiding sharp edges and excessive tension; use cable management accessories to secure runs within racks or along walls.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the patch cable parallel to power lines for long distances, maintain bend radii compatible with the cable's flexibility, and check connector seating if link issues occur. Use the Cat.5e S/FTP cable where shielding is needed to minimise interference.
