Safetex thermisch verzinkte schackel WLL 3.250kg | gebogen vorm met 5/8 bout

On a busy construction site, a rigging crew needs to lift a heavy steel beam into place. They reach for a Safetex hot-dip galvanized bow shackle, trusting its 3250 kg working load limit to secure the sling to the crane hook. The shackle's curved bow shape allows multi-leg slings to align naturally, while the 5/8" screw pin locks everything in place with a few turns of a wrench. This is the everyday reality for professionals who depend on reliable lifting hardware.

Key specifications

• Working Load Limit (WLL): 3250 kg
• Minimum Breaking Load (MBL): 19500 kg (safety factor 6:1)
• Shackle form: Bow (anchor) with screw pin
• Pin diameter: 5/8 inch (15.875 mm), threaded alloy steel
• Material: High-tensile steel, hot-dip galvanized
• Compliance: EN 13889, CE marked
• Temperature range: -20°C to +200°C
• Corrosion resistance: Excellent, suitable for marine and outdoor use

Why choose it

Hot-dip galvanizing provides a thick, durable zinc coating that stands up to harsh environments, from saltwater docks to industrial washdowns. The bow shape offers greater versatility than a D-shackle, accommodating multiple sling legs or larger connection points without side loading. The screw pin is fully removable, making it easy to thread through anchor points and secure with a cotter pin or mousing. Batch numbers on each shackle ensure traceability for inspection and certification records.

Ideal use cases

• Lifting and rigging in construction, manufacturing, and warehousing
• Mooring and towing operations in marine settings
• Overhead lifting with single or multi-leg slings
• Securing loads for transport and heavy equipment handling
• Outdoor applications where corrosion resistance is critical

Good to know

Always inspect shackles before each use for deformation, cracks, or thread damage. The working load limit applies to straight-line pulls; angular loading reduces capacity. Store in a dry place when not in use to maximize service life. This shackle is not intended for overhead lifting of personnel.
