Salewa Alp Trainer 2 dames mid-cut wandelschoenen - Dark Denim, UK 6

Alpine terrain demands footwear that balances protection, precision, and comfort over long approaches and technical sections. The Salewa Alp Trainer 2 for women answers that call with a robust yet agile design tailored for alpine trekking and hiking. Its GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining keeps feet dry through stream crossings and sudden showers while allowing sweat to escape, preventing overheating during strenuous climbs. The suede leather and stretch fabric upper, reinforced by a protective rand, withstands abrasion from rocks and scree. A Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole with deep lugs bites into loose ground, and the dual-density EVA midsole cushions each step without sacrificing stability. The 3F System and climbing lacing wrap the foot securely, improving precision on technical terrain. With a standard fit, 11 mm drop, and Ortholite® footbed, this boot delivers all-day comfort from valley floor to summit.

Who is it for

Women hikers and mountaineers who need a versatile boot for multi-day treks, alpine approaches, and demanding trails. Ideal for those carrying medium loads over mixed terrain, from forest paths to rocky ridges. The GORE-TEX® membrane suits variable weather, while the precise lacing system appeals to climbers who value a locked-in heel and toe.

Tips

For the best fit, try the boots with the socks you plan to wear on hikes. The 3F System allows fine-tuning: adjust the lower laces for forefoot comfort and the upper laces for ankle support. After use, remove the Ortholite® footbed to air out and dry. Treat the suede leather regularly with a suitable waterproofing spray to maintain performance. Break in the boots on shorter walks before tackling long alpine routes.
