Keep the screen clean

Thanks to an Antimicrobial Coating, Samsung Kiosk inhibits microbial growth to help protect against certain bacteria. This enables customers to stay focused on what’s on the screen with peace of mind.

* To perform its antibacterial function, this product has been treated with the biocidal substance Zinc Pyrithione.** Antibacterial property does not protect users against bacteria and provides no protection against viruses including Covid-19.*** Antimicrobial Coating is on surface of screen only and the effect may vary depending on kind of bacteria or conditions of use.**** Antibacterial certification: UL2282 which is granted when the antibacterial effectiveness is more than 99%.(Test method(JIS Z 2801): after inoculation of 0.4cc of liquid with bacteria(Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus) on specimen(5cm x 5cm), a sterilized film(4cm x 4cm) is adhered and left in a thermo-hygrostat with a relative humidity of 90% or more at 35°C for 24 hours, and then the efficiency of killing of the bacteria is measured / Test agency: FITI Test Research Institute)***** For further detai

Minimize accidents and risks
Shatterproof protection

Samsung understands that accidents happen. To protect students and educators, the Samsung Kiosk screen is wrapped in a proprietary shatterproof film, ensuring the screen stays intact in the event of a break.

How to use

Place and install the kiosk according to the chosen installation type (countertop, floor stand or wall-mount) and complete cable connections through the connection box for power and peripheral devices. Configure the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise settings and install necessary third-party payment or POS applications. Use the modular payment interfaces to accept customer payments and the built-in printer for receipts. Follow manufacturer instructions for network setup, security configuration and system updates to ensure stable operation.

Recommendations

For best results, install the kiosk in a well-ventilated, dry location and secure mounting hardware per the installation guide. Regularly update Windows and installed applications, clean the screen with approved non-abrasive cleaners, and inspect the shatterproof film and cabling periodically. Note that the antimicrobial coating reduces certain bacterial growth but does not protect against viruses; antibacterial effectiveness was tested per UL2282 with specified test methods.
