SAS slanke interne serverkabel Supermicro CBL-SAST-1270S-100 70 cm

SAS slim internal server cable Supermicro CBL-SAST-1270S-100 70 cm is a low-profile internal SAS/SATA connection cable designed for server and storage systems. It provides a compact physical profile suitable for dense rack environments and chassis with limited internal clearance. The cable supports connection between backplanes, RAID controllers and hot-swap drive bays where a slim SAS link is required, and its 70 cm length offers flexibility inside standard server enclosures.

Advantages

The slim SAS design reduces cable bulk and improves airflow within server chassis while maintaining a reliable data connection for SAS and SATA devices. The 70 cm length balances reach and cable management, making it easier to route inside racks and blade systems. Its construction is intended for internal use and compatible with industry-standard SAS connectors, providing a straightforward integration into existing Supermicro and third-party server configurations.

Suitable for

• Connecting internal backplanes to RAID controllers in rack and tower servers
• Linking hot-swap drive bays to host controllers in dense chassis
• Replacing or extending internal SAS/SATA connections in storage arrays
• Cable management in chassis with limited clearance or high fan airflow requirements

Key specifications

• Cable type: internal slim SAS to SAS/SATA
• Length: 70 cm
• Profile: low-profile / slim design for tight spaces
• Compatibility: supports SAS and SATA device connections in server environments
• Intended use: internal server/storage interconnect

How to use

Install the cable by aligning the slim SAS connectors with the target ports on the backplane, RAID controller or drive bay and inserting firmly until seated. Route the cable to minimize bends and avoid contact with hot components or moving fans; use available cable ties or routing channels in the chassis to secure it. Verify connections before powering the system and check the server firmware or OS storage controllers for device detection. For any changes to storage topology, follow standard server shutdown and hot-swap procedures as applicable.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this internal cable only inside server enclosures and avoid external exposure to moisture or mechanical stress. Keep bend radius gentle, avoid kinking, and secure the cable to preserve airflow and prevent accidental disconnection during maintenance.
