SATEL IVORY PIR-bewegingsmelder, ivoor

Imagine a quiet office after hours, or a retail store with high-value stock. The SATEL IVORY PIR motion detector watches over these spaces, instantly alerting the alarm system the moment an intruder steps into its 15 x 15 meter detection zone. Its discreet ivory housing blends into ceilings and walls, while the 90° wide-angle lens leaves little room for blind spots. Installers appreciate the simple potentiometer sensitivity adjustment, allowing fine-tuning for pets, drafts, or challenging environments. With EN 50131 Grade 2 certification, this detector meets professional security standards for residential and commercial installations.

Why choose it

The IVORY detector combines reliable PIR sensing with a compact, neutral design that suits any décor. Unlike cheaper sensors, it includes tamper protection to alert if someone tries to disable it. The adjustable sensitivity lets you reduce false alarms from small animals or moving objects, while the wide detection angle covers entire rooms with a single unit. Backed by SATEL's reputation in professional security, it integrates seamlessly with any wired alarm panel.

Ideal use cases

• Residential living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms
• Small offices, shops, and reception areas
• Warehouses and storage rooms requiring Grade 2 protection
• Retrofitting existing wired alarm systems

Good to know

Install the detector at the recommended height of 2.0 to 2.4 meters for optimal coverage. After power-up, allow 30 seconds warm-up before testing. The relay outputs are low-current (40 mA), so use them to trigger an alarm panel zone, not to switch heavy loads directly. For pet-immune applications, adjust sensitivity carefully and position the detector to avoid direct pet traffic paths. The ivory finish resists yellowing and blends with light-coloured walls and ceilings.
